This past week, we had the pleasure of hosting Alberto in the FSA European Headquarters. Along with the press, we were able to relive the most significant moments of the 2019 season which crowned him among the top riders in world cycling while riding with FSA & Vision. During the press conference, there was also the opportunity to focus on more technical questions about the bike, such as disc brake and tubeless wheels.“Do you know when I realized I can't help but use disc brake wheels? At the Yorkshire World Championships,” said Alberto Bettiol during the Press Conference. “I was constantly asking to change bikes to have clean brake pads. In the last descent I lost too much time and saw the others, with the disc brakes, go on with an ease that I didn't have. From now on, only disc brakes!”PEDALA CON EFThe day after, Bettiol featured in the “Pedala con EF” event, which is a special ride with a group of amateurs and cycling enthusiasts on the Passo del Ghisallo; the iconic climb of the Tour of Lombardy Classic. The event was organized by Education First with the technical support of Full Speed Ahead who provided vehicles to accompany the riders during the ride. The riders were met with a “Flanders” type of weather during the ride, with low pressures and rain. These weather conditions didn’t scare the 2019 King of Flanders, Alberto Bettiol, who donated his jersey to the Ghisallo Museum (that contains a lot of cycling memorabilia) at the end of the ride.
